Things I want but will probably never have 040905Wow, I've been on a blogging spree! Hoorah, too, for me remembering where I saved my coding for the haloscan so I could put the comments back on! I was at work for ten and a half hours today, it was pissing down rain every time I ducked out for a fag, and now that the Mung Bean's in bed, I'm having myself a well-earned JD on the rocks. Okay, a fair few more than one, but eh.
From an earlier conversation with my favourite, here are a few things I want, but will probably never own/have: - An F250. - A mass-manufactured mug with my name on it. - A mass-manufactured pen with my name on it. - A cow. - Morrissey to sing at my beckoned call. - A home either in Brisbane or the Gold Coast. - Tact. So it seems my birthday celebrations are yet to finish, having just received Johnny the Horse's 'Sound Affects' by The Jam, in GREAT nick, on vinyl, via courier. I went to JB Hi-Fi and bought 'The Sound of The Jam,' which lists most of my favourite Jam tracks, including The Butterfly Collector, Down in the Tube Station at Midnight, The Eton Rifles, Start!, That's Entertainment, and Town Called Malice. Unfortunately, 'Sound Affects' wasn't available on CD when I went to the shops, but I'll find it, eventually. Thanks very much, Johnny the Horse. You and Mrs A both rock the house, whoop! Also, I received an email from a Kiwi poet friend of mine from a long way back, Mellow Miles, who says I should be expecting a book in the mail that's no longer in print, as well as a CD, so I'm excited. I have absolutely NO idea what they could be of, but I'm guessing the book is inspirational, and the CD is Natalie Merchant. My face is starting to get numb and I've been on this post for about an hour, so I am going to sit the rest of this one out. The anal-retentive in me can come out in the morning, bugger editing this now. Blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah. 'But Novermber spawned a monster in the shape of this child...' Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh, I love Morrissey. And I should stay away from blogging when I'm drunk. [edit] This is why I love bourbon - woke up with nothing more than a mild case of bourbonfingers. Not too much damage, with one drunken post, one MS bulletin demanding Morrissey, and what was left of the salami in the fridge now being digested in my happy belly. Oh, and I had to amend the Morrissey lyrics, it was driving me mental re-reading it this morning. Oof. PS. My sincerest apologies to The Swanker and The Swankette for not making it to The Swanker's surprise 30th this weekend, as I had a day-long date with my work. I hope it was fun, and I hope many photos were taken! LighterFluid |
